~LET'S GET STARTED~1. Open up Sara's template. Shift D to duplicate. Change canvas size to 750 x 650. Delete copyright layer.
New raster layer - flood fill with white. Move this layer to the bottom.
2. Open paper 1 and paste just above circle 2 layer. Resize by 60% and sharpen. Adjust brightness and contrast: +15 contrast. Select circle 2 layer. Go to selections - select all, float, defloat. Selections - modify - expand by 4. Selections - invert. Select paper layer and hit your delete key. Selections - select none.
3. Paste paper 11 over rectangle 1 layer. Resize by 80% and sharpen. Adjust brightness: -2 bright and +15 contrast. Select rectangle 1 layer. Select all, float, defloat, invert. Select your paper layer and hit your delete key. Selections - select none. Drop shadow 0, 0, 25, 2.00 black.
4. Select rectangle 2. Select all, float, defloat. New raster layer - flood fill with gray and black striped pattern. Selections - select none. Delete original rectangle 2 layer. Drop shadow 0, 0, 25, 2.00 black.
5. Select rectangle 3 layer. Select all, float, defloat. New raster layer. Flood fill the selection with color #808080. Selections - select none. Delete rectangle 3 layer. Adjust brightness of this new layer by -45 bright and +20 contrast. Drop shadow 0, 0, 25, 2.00 black.
6. Do the same as above for frame 1, frame 2, and circle 1. Do not adjust brightness and contrast this time.
7. Paste your main tube (the one that will come out of the circle.) Drop shadow 0, 0, 40, 2.00 black. Duplicate layer. Go to your inner circle layer and Selections - select all, float, defloat, invert. Select the lowest of the 2 tube layers and hit your delete key.
8. Go to the tube layer on top and use your eraser tool to erase anything that you don't want outside of the circle (like the legs). Don't forget to continuously save your tag!
9. Paste the tube again. Hue and saturation change: 0 and 0 so that the tube is black and white. Layers duplicate and place the tubes under the rectangular frames. Image - rotate one of the tubes 15 degrees to the right to go under the crooked frame. Sharpen this tube. Adjust brightness and contrast on both tubes: -10 bright. +15 contrast.
Then grab your magic wand tool and select inside each frame one at a time. Selections - modify, expand by 4. Selections - invert. Select the tube layer and hit your delete key. Do this for both tubes.
10. Use your Gradient Glow 4000 plug-in on the rectangle frames. Medium, black, 3.00, 25, 100%. Apply this same glow to both circle layers. On both circles and on both rectangle frames add a drop shadow of 0, 0, 30, 2.00 black.
11. Add element 3. Adjust brightness: -10 bright, +15 contrast. Drop shadow 0, 0, 100, 2.00, color #808080.
12. In your materials palette hide the foreground color and for the background color put in #808080. Size 38, stroke 1.00. Type out twice in lower case letters "xeracx." Place just above thin gray rectangle layer to your liking on the right. New raster layer, type "xeracx" once and place to your liking on the left just above the same layer. Merge the 2 layers together. Drop shadow: 1, 1, 60, 4.00 black then 0, 0, 45, 2.00 black.
13. Add element 10 (rose). Image - resize 6% smartsize. Place by 2 rectangle frames. Drop shadow 0, 0, 30, 2.00 black.
14. New raster layer just above white background layer. Flood fill with black. Layers - new mask layer - from image. Select your mask in the drop down box. Only source luminance checked. Click ok. Layers - delete, click yes. Layers - merge, merge group. Duplicate the mask layer and lower opacity on the top mask layer to 52%.
15. Add a light drop shadow of 0, 0, 20, 2.00 black to the staples.
16. Delete all unnecessary layers and crop to your liking. Be careful not to crop the mask. You can use your deform tool to see how far the mask actually extends. Select one of your mask layers and then select the deform tool to see.
17. Add your name. I used the Scrap Calligraphy font. In your materials palette use black for both foreground and background colors. Size 18 and 1.0 stroke. Type out your name and place on the inside of the heart. Drop shadow 0, 0, 30, 1.00 black then 0, 0, 20, 2.00 black. If your name is too long you will have to play around with where you want it on your tag. Hide your white background layer and save as png. You are finished!
THANK YOU FOR TRYING MY TUT!!
